Job Requirements
1. Do the requirements for different positions differ? Are there general requirements that must be met by all applicants?
Yes, the job requirements vary depending on what our client companies’ needs. There are general requirement that all applicants must meet, for example the minimum academic requirements, if however this is not satisfied, We are afraid that your applications will not likely to be accepted or proceeded to the next stage.
2. What do you look for other than academic achievements in a potential employee for your clients?
As most of clients are large international corporations, if you get an offer, you will most likely to have overseas placements. Hence, we are looking for people who are highly adaptable, flexible and open-minded. We are also seeking people who have a strong awareness of business and different cultures. Therefore, prior work experience and vacation abroad experience will be beneficial. All our clients are interested in people who are ambitious, innovative, have the ability to work both individually and independently.
The Application Process
1. When is the deadline for applications for listed vacancies?
China Career Gateway recruits for our clients on a ‘rolling’ basis, hence we process applications on a first come, first served basis. We will stop recruiting once the vacancies are filled up. Therefore, we advise that you apply as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
2. What will happen after I submit my application form and upload my CV?
You will get an automated email notifying that we have received your applications and CV. We will then send you an email informing you whether you have been successful in the first two stages, and the following application stages that you will go through based on our clients’ requirements.
3. May I apply to more than one vacancy?
Yes, you may. However, it is strongly noticeable that one strong application will be better than some general job applications. You should read the job specific requirements carefully and understand the job roles well, and then decide which one(s) you wish to apply.
4. What preparation should I do for the online tests?
The tests will be different depending on the job vacancies you apply for and our different clients’ requirements. China Career Gateway recruitment consultants shall email out instructions and advice on the preparation for the tests that you are required to take.
International Applicants
1. Can I apply to vacancies if I am an international student?
Yes. Most of our clients are large international corporations who are seeking people from a diverse backgrounds. A lot of them are opening up offices in Europe and North America, some of them are already well-established across the globe. Hence we welcome applicants from all countries. However, fluency in English both written and spoken will be essential for all job vacancies, fluency in other languages especially Mandarin will be highly desirable. Both our clients’ company and China Career Gateway will help you to process work permits and further accommodation arrangement.
